Du Toit Steenkamp, Founder

Du Toit Steenkamp founded Workforge Global to help organisations build high-performance work through better alignment between people, process and technology, with solutions that benefit people in the long run.
An industrial engineer by training, Du Toit has spent 21 years improving how work happens. As Group Productivity Manager at Africa's largest retailer, he was accountable for people productivity across more than 140,000 associates. He led workforce management across more than 2,000 sites and incubated the group's central HR data analytics capability. He then served as a delivery lead on local and global workforce transformation projects at the world's largest professional services and technology firm.
He has always paired performance with people. He founded #OpenSessions, a TED-style forum that strengthened collaboration and idea generation across the retail group, and led an initiative to build engagement across the consulting firm's Cape Town acquisitions. His leadership centres on creating environments where people can thrive and do their best work.
Today, his work helps organisations of every size improve performance by intentionally designing how work happens, balancing operational efficiency, workforce effectiveness and practical technology enablement, including the responsible use of AI.
